Su versatilidad en la cocina, su alto valor nutricional y la posibilidad de producirlo en diferentes escalas lo convierten en una excelente opci\u00f3n para quienes comienzan a producir alimentos.<\/p>\n<p>Cultivar tomate de manera agroecol\u00f3gica implica trabajar con la naturaleza para lograr plantas sanas, suelos vivos y cosechas abundantes sin depender de agroqu\u00edmicos. Cuando el sistema est\u00e1 equilibrado, las plantas crecen fuertes, resisten mejor enfermedades y producen frutos de gran sabor.<\/p>\n<div contenteditable=\"false\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong>1. Conocer el cultivo<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>El tomate (Solanum lycopersicum) es una planta originaria de Am\u00e9rica y se adapta muy bien a climas templados y c\u00e1lidos. Necesita buena exposici\u00f3n solar, suelos f\u00e9rtiles y un manejo cuidadoso del agua.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Condiciones ideales:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Sol:<\/strong> al menos 6 a 8 horas de luz solar directa.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Suelo:<\/strong> profundo, bien drenado y rico en materia org\u00e1nica.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Temperatura:<\/strong> entre 18 \u00b0C y 30 \u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Riego:<\/strong> regular, evitando encharcamientos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Un suelo vivo y equilibrado es la base para una buena producci\u00f3n. Antes de sembrar, es recomendable incorporar compost maduro o abonos org\u00e1nicos para mejorar la estructura del suelo y su fertilidad.<\/p>\n<div contenteditable=\"false\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong>2. Producci\u00f3n de plantines<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>La mayor\u00eda de los productores comienzan el cultivo de tomate en alm\u00e1cigos o bandejas de plantines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pasos recomendados:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Preparar un sustrato liviano con compost, tierra f\u00e9rtil y arena.<\/li>\n<li>Sembrar las semillas a poca profundidad.<\/li>\n<li>Mantener humedad constante sin exceso de agua.<\/li>\n<li>Ubicar el alm\u00e1cigo en un lugar luminoso y protegido del viento.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Los plantines estar\u00e1n listos para trasplantar cuando tengan entre <strong>4 y 6 hojas verdaderas<\/strong> y una altura aproximada de <strong>10 a 15 cm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div contenteditable=\"false\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong>3. Trasplante y manejo del cultivo<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>El trasplante se realiza cuando el riesgo de heladas ha pasado y el suelo tiene buena temperatura.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recomendaciones:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Plantar con una distancia aproximada de <strong>40 a 60 cm entre plantas<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Mantener <strong>80 a 100 cm entre l\u00edneas<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enterrar parte del tallo para favorecer el desarrollo de ra\u00edces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>En sistemas agroecol\u00f3gicos es com\u00fan utilizar <strong>tutores o ca\u00f1as<\/strong> para sostener las plantas y mejorar la ventilaci\u00f3n, lo que reduce enfermedades.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n puede aplicarse <strong>mulch o cobertura vegetal<\/strong> (paja, hojas secas, restos de poda) para:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>conservar la humedad del suelo<\/li>\n<li>reducir malezas<\/li>\n<li>mejorar la actividad biol\u00f3gica del suelo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div contenteditable=\"false\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong>4. Nutrici\u00f3n del cultivo<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>El tomate es una planta exigente en nutrientes, especialmente en nitr\u00f3geno, f\u00f3sforo y potasio. En agroecolog\u00eda se utilizan fuentes naturales para alimentar el suelo.<\/p>\n<p>Algunas opciones incluyen:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Compost maduro<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Humus de lombriz<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Bocashi<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>T\u00e9 de compost<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Biofertilizantes l\u00edquidos<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lo importante es nutrir el <strong>suelo<\/strong>, no solo la planta.
